secure wireless?

has anyone heard of webkey to use to secure a wireless connection,i need some help getting mine secure. please

  1. it is wep key. You need to access the routers setup and from there select wireless security and it is as simple as just typing a name and it will generate a wep key for you. From here save the changes and when you access the internet from your wireless machines it will ask for the key and all you do is enter it.
  2. Secure wireless, but how about city wide wi-fi?
  3. another solution is to invisible your network. so when you search for available networks it does not show itself so you have to call it by its name in a manual way ( you need to know the correct name)
  4. go router's console set WEP ( medium) or WPA ( high) encyription set MAC adress filtering
  5. If your router and your PC receiver support it, you should really use WPK2 security. Anyway, a WEP key is a password that you need to connect to the router. When you configured the router, you should have been given this option.
